Terms and Conditions

By accessing and using the GeoRisk Intelligence SA platform ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and GeoRisk Intelligence SA ("Company", "we", "us", or "our").

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from or relating to this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

GeoRisk Intelligence SA provides crime risk analysis services based on official South African Police Service (SAPS) statistics. Our services include:

• Location-based crime risk assessments
• Industry-specific risk analysis
• Multi-period trend analysis
• Professional PDF reports
• Interactive mapping and data visualization

The Service is intended for informational purposes only and should be used as one factor among many in making security and business decisions.

Account Security:

• Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Use strong passwords and change them regularly

Appropriate Use:

• Use the Service only for legitimate business and security planning purposes
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute our data or algorithms
• Do not use the Service for illegal activities or to harm others
• Respect intellectual property rights

Professional Consultation:

• Consult with qualified security professionals when making important security decisions
• Consider multiple data sources and factors beyond our analysis
• Understand that crime patterns can change rapidly and historical data may not reflect current conditions

• Credit System: Services are provided on a prepaid credit basis
• No Refunds: All credit purchases are final and non-refundable
• Currency: All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR)
• Payment Processing: Payments are processed by third-party providers subject to their terms
• Credit Expiry: Credits do not expire, but generated reports are stored for 90 days only
• Price Changes: We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days notice

All content, features, and functionality of the Service, including but not limited to algorithms, software, text, displays, images, video, and audio, are owned by GeoRisk Intelligence SA and are protected by South African and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Rights:

• Limited license to use the Service for your internal business purposes
• Right to download and use reports generated for your searches
• Right to share reports within your organization

Restrictions:

• No right to copy, modify, or distribute our software or algorithms
• No right to create derivative works based on our Service
• No right to reverse engineer or attempt to discover source code
• No right to resell or redistribute our analysis to third parties

We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and other applicable South African data protection laws.

Data Collection:

• We collect personal information necessary to provide our services
• Search queries and locations are stored for service delivery and improvement
• Payment information is processed by secure third-party providers

Data Use:

• Personal information is used solely for service provision and communication
• We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for marketing
• Aggregate, anonymized data may be used for research and service improvement

Data Security: We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Termination by You:

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Remaining credits will not be refunded.

Termination by Us:

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, if you:

• Violate these Terms and Conditions
• Use the Service for illegal activities
• Attempt to circumvent our security measures
• Engage in fraudulent activity

Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Data may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Modified" date.

Significant changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

If you do not agree with modified terms, you must discontinue use of the Service.
